The wedding went off without a hitch, well someone did get hitched, but it went well. Watch the Orange County wedding photographers video.

Eric Ward sometime back, said that Google web properties (like blogspot) have been given a boost. This kind of keeps with the focus on Google plus.

Blogger has had a bad name for some time, but I think Google is cleaning up the neighborhood. Nobody in their right mind would consider doing a real estate website on Blogger. Right? They might consider at least trying it for supplemental sites...

My niche in real estate SEO took a dip for http://www.real-estate-seo.net when I built too many profile links. That left other types at too low a ratio and anchor text too low for other terms as well. I noticed that on Blekko, that Solutions by Dave ranked high, around position 3 for Real Estate SEO. This lowly blog along with some other blogspot accounts began to rank higher around the same time as the Panda update. I've kept them fairly light and posted less frequently than to Wordpress, but I got sometimes, just as good a response from Google's index.

Websites love a good chunk of sugar just like a horse. Linkhorse sounds like a good domain to buy. I'll have to check it out.

I don't know if it's the name or just the lack of topical hierarchy. Part of it is that the posts don't show up in the usual way. I linked to an attorney site that was in position 162 for Jacksonville attorneys and later it checked in at positoin 57. I don't think that necessarily means that much because I saw it there at 57 on Goosh earlier. I think the lawyers are so plentiful that they're changing positions like that pretty often.

This is a personal injury attorney site. It's a PR1 and it looks as professional and well optimized as any of the larger competing law firm websites.

I tried to join up a small PR1 site that posts short stories/news along with relevant back links. Signup appeared easy and simple, but although I tried and tried, the interface stuck on "submit" when I tried to run up my first story. The delay is so long, I could have installed a wordpress website on one of my better hosts by now and posted my link there. hmmmm...

A small skirmish amongst the otherwise obscure in the landscape of the Internet. SEO practitioners, the best of which maintain a low profile for the sake of benefitting their clients. All is well as can be expected in a tenuous relationship between Google and its SEO specialists and coaches. Google has that unique love hate relationship with SEO. They created the entire currency of back-links and now they must constantly work to regulate that currency.

Their primary target? Counterfeit SEO. The worst examples can be cited as recently as the fall of JC Penny. Apparently without a concept of proper, or at least lighter gray link strategies and certainly lacking the benefits of training by a competent SEO blogging coach, JC Penny either feigned, or actually suffered from, total SEO ignorance.

Sanitizing Chiropractic Treatment Tables

Who was on that table last when you get your last back adjustment at your local chiropractor? Was it properly cleaned? Did you know that before 2006 there was little to no mention of table sanitation in professional chiropractic literature? That has dramatically changed in the last five years. Sanitation in chiropractic offices was decidedly not standardized until the last several years. While many doctors, both in private practice and in college clinics, used good sanitation measures, others did not. There are several studies that have cultured microbes from chiropractic colleges and identified a variety of pathogens including methicillin-resistant Staph aureus.

One of the first papers published was from National University of Health Sciences in 2006 and it was followed by three more studies in 2007, 2008 and 2009 by researchers at Parker University and Western States. The most recent study (Feb 2011) from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College took the treatment table microbe issue one step further and looked at private chiropractic clinics. Those clinics that do not adopt the standard for table sanitation risk not only spreading disease but also face the additional risk of their clinics being closed by authorities. Closures have already occurred in school systems, spas and other establishments in the U.S.

The Journal of Chiropractic Medicine (2009) 8,38–47 suggests an appropriate method of table disinfection that requires surface sanitizing with an acceptable wipe or solution. Although face paper should always be used, application of a CDC or Environmental Protection Agency–approved sanitizing wipe or solution should occur between each patient treatment at a minimum, on the table to face, chest, and hand pieces of the table surface.

Have you ever seen cloth coverings used on chiropractic treatment tables? That's a poor idea. No chiropractor should be using those now.

How Many Times Will A Chiropractic Article Be Spun and Still Retain Link Value?

I have seen the same chiropractors article written, supposedly in the first person, for around a week now- it shows up in various forms on blogs and splogs but, apparently has been found useful by enough people to keep using it again. The question is, why does Google not see this as article inflation and de-index it?

This is the article in its last form: (My comments interjected)

When a person finds out that I am a Chiropractor, I usually get asked about some type of pain they may be experiencing. I always start by asking them, “Who is your Chiropractor?” The majority of the time, they answer that they don’t have one. This answer always amazes me. This already sounds dubious- plenty of people don't have a chiropractor and never have had one.
There are some great Chiropractors in Jacksonville. From Mayport to Orange Park to St. Augustine, the Jacksonville area is fortunate to have some quality chiropractors. Is this a big case of pay it forward? How many business people want to talk about al their great competitors?
There are some things to keep in mind when choosing a Chiropractor in Jacksonville:
• Make sure you feel comfortable with the Chiropractic office. Chiropractors have different personalities and opinions. They should never be too busy to answer any question you might have. They should always timely return your calls. A chiropractor’s staff should ALWAYS be professional and courteous. As if this needed saying?
• What Chiropractic techniques do they use? Chiropractors tend to use the techniques they feel comfortable with and the techniques they get the best results with. Most importantly they should use a technique that makes you feel most comfortable. Ask your potential chiropractor to explain what techniques are used in the clinic. Yeah and once you ask the chiropractor what their technique is, what more do you really know than you did before you heard a phrase like Cox Flexion/Distraction?
• Does your new Chiropractor have a simple straight-forward financial policy? (Yes, of course. I do the work and you pay for it. Clear enough?) Is it important to you that your Jacksonville Chiropractor is on your insurance plan? Does your Chiropractor offer payment options? You should always feel comfortable asking financial questions. Money issues should never get in the way of you receiving the care you need.
• Does your Chiropractor have a good relationship with medical specialists (oh, do you mean their referral network? I'm certain of it!) in Jacksonville? If you have a condition that requires more aggressive treatment, can your Chiropractor obtain a timely referral to a neurologist or orthopedist?

One was about French oak and the other about Jacksonville chiropractors. the French oak site indexed in hours and was on the first page for its keywords in two days. On the other hand, the Jacksonville chiropractors website still after several days has not even indexed on Google.

I have a feeling Google simply does not like chiropractors.

Target Dissemination on Free Websites

How valuable are free websites like weebly and yola.com for SEO? It probably depends on what you invest into the content and getting them indexed.

Lately, I have been experimenting with free websites for the purpose of content dissemination, syndication and of course– back links.

I think what has surprised me the most is that Google readily indexes some free website content that I would regard as lesser quality than others. Having an intriguing Google Webmaster tools is no guarantee that content will be indexed. Some sites like http://vintageelementsantiquestonewoodflooring.yolasite.com/ and http://webfamousdave.webs.com/ where I was unable to insert Google verification meta-tags, were still indexed with as little as three ping backs from short blog posts. It's still a little unpredictable. Updates to the pages have to be re-pinged. I think Google probably crawls those sites about once avery three millennia.

This result causes one to look at other factors such as quantity of content, keyword distribution, number of pages on a “free site” and source of TrackBacks.

Since diversity of IP addresses is valuable in the SEO process, this strategy is well worth pursuit and refining of its processes.

Always looking for a shorter method, I have to wonder if links without anchor text would actually produce the same desired effect. The nature of these free websites, with the exception of a few big names such as Google's blogger, WordPress.com, and other honorable mentions precludes the likelihood of high visitor traffic when the same level of investment into a WordPress blog would obviously produce far better results.

Google has a way of indexing new content almost instantaneously. The index of your website is another issue altogether, however. That can take days, weeks and for some websites maybe even months. Takes a bit of patience– like my changes for the Breckenridge builders website that I made several days back. The cached version still reads February 17, 2011. Who knows when Google will we index this cached copy.

After thorough review yesterday with my mentor for SEO, we determined that the Jacksonville chiropractors and massage website was in the first, of a move to WordPress. Secondly, there are some more verification steps that we can take for this Jacksonville chiropractor that will enhance the validity of Google places in their profile.

Finally, for another client, we will remove excessive links on the site. This should “un–dilute” on page PR.

I did a quick check on Google using the inurl: search parameter for Free–Web–hosting and came up with 132,000 results. Now, I know that many of these are probably references to the same free web hosting accounts, but that still leaves a lot of potential free web hosting accounts. Setting up a one-page website seems to be a lot more effective at being picked up by Google, then setting up a profile page.

This is a summary of my evaluation of competitor for one of my clients.

They have a PR zero website that has ranked number one on Google for a competitive search term.

SEOMoz gave me the goods on this site. the particular page only has links from four domains.

Below, is a chart showing that the actual value of the links and content for my client's website, or better quality than the competitor. However, the competitor has engaged in a sort of keyword stuffing by use of the MLS. The content does actually provide value to anyone who finds it, but it's purpose is clear. Skating as close as possible to the thin ice of black-eyed SEO, this competitor has run their flag up the mast in record time.

So the essence of the content is this: here are some of the homes for sale at PGA national, In palm beach gardens Florida. You can view all the PGA national homes for sale now at this site.

As you can imagine I begin studying this. Will get to the bottom of this. The apparent strategy however, is to simply paste in MLS listings and back links. lots of text, lots of relevant content, and the quality anchor text back links.

Sometimes blogger has the Fastest Response Time But Is It Valuable?

My last blog post on this blog took about 10 seconds to index on Google. That kind of performance for this blog which is several years old now, is fairly typical. What I haven't sorted out yet is how valuable links from this blog are compared to WordPress, in particular WordPress.com websites. Of course, other factors play into this as well like the PR of the blog, and quality of the articles. My web famous post has yet to be indexed. So this post provides a ping to that one. I suppose I could be patient and wait and see if it happens on its own, but I'll probably forget to check, and I have to move on.

Well, I have to stop posting now and finish a video.

And work on content for Jacksonville chiropractors. in fact, I have upper back pain at this very moment. I suppose I could benefit from an x-ray to see whether it's from arthritis in my neck, or just some muscular problem. I slept on the couch in front of the TV, and woke up the next morning with kind of a kink in my shoulder blade.

I just wrote a couple articles on VAX-D. This recent technology, developed 15 years ago, decompresses the spine through a process that creates a vacuum in the vertebrae that pulls-in, by the suction of a temporarily created vacuum, of the soft tissue of a herniated disc. This essentially means that the spinal vertebrae are pulled apart until herniated discs are sucked back in to their proper position. While this may sound slightly extreme, it certainly seems preferable to invasive surgery.

I find the Mobile Gmail very limited - I can't create new labels, change settings, etc. I'd like to use "regular" desktop Gmail when using my iPad but every time I go to Gmail, by default it loads the mobile interface. Is there any way around this?

We serve the iPad-optimized version of Gmail by default, but you can switch to the "regular" version of Gmail by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen and tapping the 'Desktop' link. If you want, you can bookmark that version or add it to your homescreen so you're sure to always get it. Finally, just a heads-up that the Desktop version isn't completely optimized for iPad so you might encounter a few issues.

Eth@n, I found the 'desktop version' link at the bottom of the page however it works for one of my gmail accounts and not another. I've tried the same gmail account a few times and see an error that refers to too many redirects. I would like to be able to add 'labels' to my inbox. Is there a reason one gmail account can be accessed as the 'desktop version' while another can't?

The date is January 20th and there is no "desktop link" that I can find. The mobile interface drives me nuts and I want the standard browser/web/html5 interface. At least let me adjust the check mail settings! Really, even with the bugs, I usually prefer the regular web interface.

Am I just out of luck now?

Is there a URL I can bookmark that forces the old interface?

I've seen Google index back-links that bring up sites where the word doesn't exist. I've done this several times but I don't see the link data in Webmaster tools, which is supposed to show all links, but I'm not so sure. I'm starting a test with another keyword not on a target site. I'll find out when it shows up but nothing gets reported in webmaster tools. Is Google selective about letting you know just what sources link to your site?
